1. Who is responsible for your data
UKNITED LTD (company number SC813076, registered office: our registered office as shown on the Companies House register (company no. SC813076)) is the data controller for teeprayer.com. Questions or requests: info@teeprayer.com.
2. What we collect and why
To fulfil orders (legal basis: contract): your name, email, delivery address, order details, and payment status. Card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our systems.
To run accounts (contract): email, name, password (stored only as a secure hash), and your activity such as follows and reviews.
To pay artists (contract & legal obligation): earnings records and Stripe account references. Identity verification is performed by Stripe; we do not receive or store your identity documents.
To keep the platform safe (legitimate interests): device and network signals on orders, and audit logs of administrative actions, used for fraud prevention and security.
To send marketing (consent): only if you opt in, and every email includes an unsubscribe link. Order and account emails are sent regardless because they are part of the service.
3. Artist shop pages
What appears publicly on an artist's shop page — display name, story, imagery — is chosen and controlled by the artist, and can be changed or removed by them at any time. We never publish personal information an artist hasn't chosen to show.
4. Who we share data with
Only the processors needed to run the service: Stripe (payments and payouts), Gelato (printing and delivery — they receive the name and address on your order), Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), and Resend (transactional email). We do not sell personal data. Some processors may transfer data outside the UK/EEA under appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
5. How long we keep it
Order and financial records: 6 years (tax law). Accounts: until you delete yours, after which personal details are removed or anonymised — financial ledger entries are retained as required by law but are severed from your identity. Consent records: retained as evidence of lawful processing.
6. Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to processing, and take your data elsewhere. Email info@teeprayer.com and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
7. Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to run the site: your session (if signed in) and your basket. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
